Chemikal Underground presents the opening event of The Only Way is Ethics: a new 8-day festival of ethics based throughout Glasgow from Nov 29th – Dec 6th. Featuring a tremendous triptych of The Phantom Band, Karine Polwart and Ela Orleans, the concert takes place in the wonderful surroundings of Calton’s newest arts venue, Saint Luke’s.
It’s a brilliantly diverse lineup for a fantastic festival, showcasing some of Scotland’s most unique musical voices: the heady mantras of The Phantom Band; the magical melodies of four times BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards winner Karine Polwart and the dark, otherworldly soundscapes of Ela Orleans.
This will be The Phantom Band’s last show for a while following their Strange Friend/Fears Trending double whammy; Karine’s delivering a very special solo show and Ela will be – in her own words – saying ‘goodbye’ to ‘Upper Hell’ before starting on a new LP.
