This performance is a rare intimate-scale solo show from Karine. The first half of the night is a sneaky peek at a new song, story and spoken word work-in-progress called Wind Resistance. Taking in the flight science of goose skeins, the wisdom in Celtic and Nordic weather myths and Polwart’s longstanding love of ancient bird lore, this is a poetic meditation upon empathy, belonging and ecological sustainability. The audience will have the option at the end of the night to give some constructive creative feedback over a wee glass of something! In a night of two halves, Karine will also perform a solo acoustic set of old and new songs.
