CELTIC CONNECTIONS : Celebrating the Life of Michael Marra

Pavilion Theatre, 121, Renfield Street, Glasgow

ARREST THIS MOMENT: CELEBRATING THE LIFE OF MICHAEL MARRA IN WORDS AND MUSIC

A one-off collaborative celebration of the late great Michael Marra’s life, work, wit, wisdom, unique imagination and boundlessly compassionate humanity, hosted by his recent biographer James Robertson. Offering an array of insights and perspectives on Marra’s character and creativity, the evening will feature songs, conversation and reminiscence together with extracts from Robertson’s book, as the author is joined by family, friends and admirers of Dundee’s inimitable bard. They include his daughter Alice and brother Chris, the Karine Polwart Trio, Rab Noakes and choreographer Frank McConnell, with whom Marra made the classic dance/theatre show A Wee Home From Home.
